What is LOGO?

Logo is an easy-to-understand computer language.

By learning to write simple commands, you can make a pretend turtle

draw pictures and patterns on your computer screen.

Download the LOGO software (Setup Kit) onto

your home computer from this site.

Getting Started.....

On the Library computer: Click the MSW LOGO icon.

This is what you will see:

Here are some simple commands you might use:

LT or LEFT followed by an angle in degrees.

RT or RIGHT followed by an angle in degrees.

FD or FORWARD followed by a number.

BK or BACKWARD followed by a number.

PU or PENUP

PD or PENDOWN

PE or PENERASE followed by a number. This command is your rubber.

HOME this returns your turtle back to its starting point.

CS or CLEARSCREEN this gets rid of everything on the screen ready to start again.

REMEMBER! Always put a space between the command and the number.

If you spell a word wrongly or don't include the space the turtle writes:

"I don't know how to..."
